Obviously, as the name implies, we are an Irish club but we are very proud to welcome to the centre everyone who enjoys an Irish atmosphere and "the craic"
The centre is fully air-conditioned throughout and has a function hall with a stage including two bars. The function hall is available for hire on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Sunday evening. To find out more, look at our contacts section.
We hold regular dances every weekend, usually with live bands. (See the Events page for a list of bands and Irish music sesuins, etc.). We hope to be starting our pool league teams again on Wednesday evenings, see Events page. Several styles of dance classes (including old time step and Irish dancing on Tuesday mornings. Music seisuins on the last Friday of the month see the Events page. Weekly music classes every Monday from 6.00pm-8.00pm for 5-13 year olds.
Children's traditional Irish Dance classes are on Thursdays from 5.15 - 7.00pm
We have a well supported Golf Society with regular meetings and tournaments and would welcome new players. Screening of major sporting events throughout the year including GAA, BT Sports and Sky Sports. We present various plays and concerts throughout the year as well as providing fundraising dances for selected charities. See Events page.
We also have the pleasure of hosting the Wimbledon Celtic Supporters Club with coverage of all their games (see our WCSC page for fixtures). We have a regular Welfare Clinic and Irish Advisory Support sessions on an appointment only basis as well as a weekly "Thursday Club" specifically for senior citizens to socialise over a beverage, enjoy in house entertainment, bingo etc., and occasional day trips and mini breaks.
We have a limited stock of Irish produce for sale over the bar including Clonakilty black and white puddings, Brack, Limerick rashers, biscuits, chocolates, Tayto crisps, etc.
Monthly Lotto tickets are available for purchase with the draw taking place on the last Saturday evening of the month during the dance interval.
In January of 2019 we are looking forward to starting Irish Language classes for those of all abilities with the help of Conradh na Gaeilge. We will be launching the classes with an information evening on 30th November here in the club followed by a Gaeilge "pop up" and our monthly Seisiun. See Events page.
